Overview
Our rebuild process can completely disassemble and rebuild any chopper box brand and model. For example, this includes forage boxes no matter the type whether they are rear, front, or combo unload. Moreover, we do this service for farmers (and insurance companies) via our insurance claims work and private machinery repair. Below are pictures of one such refurbished silage wagon. It is a steel-sided Gehl. First, let’s look at a few pictures of the wrecked box to get an idea of what problems needed attention. As you can see, the head has been damaged and the sides have been damaged.
Start the Rebuild Process
First, we pull the wrecked unit into the high bay of our shop. Next, we remove the head from the rest of the unit and pull it aside with pulleys from the ceiling. After that, we remove the roof, sides, and back either as a unit or piece by piece.
Complete the Rebuild Process
Subsequently, we replace all the problem parts of the floor unit. After that, a member of our team checks the floor unit to ensure square measurements. While this is happening another team member fixes the head. We fix or replace all bent, broken, or non-operable parts. The box sides, back, and roof are also repaired or replaced at this point.
Next, we rebuilt the box from the group up. First, the sides and roof go on. We square everything to ensure property working order. Then the back and the head go on.
Fixed Forage Box
With the box fully together we oil new parts as a first step. We operate the restored box to make sure everything is in proper working condition. We then conduct a detailed safety checklist. Lastly, we call the chopper box owner to set up a delivery time for the fixed unit.
