Private Machinery Repair

Overview

Our first farm service in 1984 was private machinery repair work for farmers.   Importantly, forage box repair is still a core part of what we do today.

Any time in life when you use something and it works for you, it makes sense to keep using it.  However, forage boxes and other farm machinery wear down and break over time and use.  Buying a new box comes with many hassles including:

  • A substantial new financial obligation and time spent buying
  • Taking on a new learning curve to figure out machiner operation
  • Uncertainty to whether the purchase will fit your needs

We rebuild your unit so that it is like new for a fraction of the cost. This allows you to save time, money, frustration, and hassle associated with a new forage box purchase.  We fix a high percentage of machinery we see, but if it is too bad or would cost more than a quality used forage box, we will tell you.

Private Machinery Repair Process

Importantly, the farmer drives the process in terms of whether used or new parts are needed.  Past that we use our expertise to let you know what has to be fixed and what is optional.  We do bids, not estimates which means that you know your price ahead of time.  In rare cases, we find more issues during the repair process.  If this happens we call the farmer and give them the choice of how to handle the discovery. In the end, we ensure that there are no surprise issues with the replacement unit and its condition.

We have worked with hundreds of farmers to repair their equipment.  Moreover, we love seeing the look on their face when they see their box returned in top shape.  Many farmers tell us how attached they are to their machinery and happy they are not to have to buy something different.  If you would like to know more about this, please contact us.
